Live, Ian strikes the universal human chord. He captivates audiences with his gravel-edged voice, disarming stage presence and easy rapport. "MacDonald sings songs that just get under your skin and stay there".
Bio / Background
Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ian got his start as a songwriter while attending UCCB in Sydney, NS where there was always a coffee house to play. Like many Maritimers before him, Ian moved west to Calgary in the late 80s looking for a change - or something better.
