Hydraulic Woman crosses all the lines between rock, blues, acoustic, and electric. This debut album combines sounds and styles reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Sheryl Crow, Indigo Girls, and Beth Hart.
Featuring the talent of seven outstanding musicians, this CD captures the same integrity and passion found at a live performance.
Hydraulic Woman started in 1990 as a solo coffeehouse act and has evolved into a full band, which adds incredible depth and fullness to this catchy bundle of original tunes. "Glad Game" tells stories of love, lust, loss, and growth, from the perspective of a young woman who survives and embraces life with her heart sitting optimistically on her sleeve.
