It's not the spark that caused the fire. It was the air you breathed that fanned the flame. . .
Bio / Background
Spark, is a collection of songs written by Karin Bergquist & Linford Detweiler of Over The Rhine (title track, "Spark"), Jackson Browne, David Gray, Sara Hickman, Jeff Black, the unlikely duo of Slaid Cleaves & Woody Guthrie, and still more revered songwriters.
A central theme that runs the course of the whole album can be summed up in the closing line to David’s original song, Cicadas:
"You are. It's Life. Rise up and sing!"
