Bio / Background
I've been in Kentucky for over a year now and had the honor of playing with the following musicians:
Thanks Jimmy Cummings, drummer for Louisville, KY based Paul K and guitarist for Evansville, IN based Katie Bell, for referring me to Paul K for the biggest gig of my life! Opening for Wilco at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati with Paul K & The Weathermen was an honor. (Sold out show) check out http://paulkweathermen.com/ for more info.
Micheal Gough & Tommy Stillwell hired me and Dad, saxophonist, to play at the Excutive Inn in Owensboro KY for their outdoor concert series; Friday's after Sundown.
Criss Cheatham of AugustChristopher played drums for those gigs.
Check out AC or the Criss Cheatham Trio "CC3" if their in your area. "CC3" features Criss on drums, guitar, and vox with Michael Gough and William Scruggs on bass and additional vocals.
Thanks to those professionals, I'm now schooled on how the pros do it.They put together an entire show in two practices.

I just watched in amazement and tried to keep up.

Louisville Legends Dem Reggae Bon expanded my horizons with their kinky dub sounds. One Love to Ras Hari, Hezekiah, Tony, Warlock, and the positive people that surround you.
Blues guitar player and singer, Chad Dant called me offering all of his gigs when he left town. His band was available. So, Loeyville's Honey Roy was birthed at the Ramda Inn lounge off I-71. Humble beginnings from headlining festivals in Oregon, but once a seed is planted it will eventually grow. Check out http://chaddant.com/ for more info.
In the current HoneyRoy line up I've been known to play with
Todd Remley, Keith Burden, Gevan Cole, Jacques Smith, John Shaw, Jimmy Cummings, David Paul, Rick DeBow, and my Dad Roy Lee. Thanks to all the players and listeners who make the music possible. We're due to start recording the next CD in November!!
