Up till now we did 7 full European tours and about 15 smaller ones.

We¹ve also built our own recording studio called the ³Moloko Bar². The work on that is complete. Two of us contribute to other bands and projects, but our main focus stays on HITCH.

We have had a new addition to our line-up. Paul (ex-Nahende Vernichtung, Cower, Thee Plague of Gentlemen) came to replace Carl, who has left Belgium to go live and work in China at the university of Xian. We will all miss Carl, who has been a founding member of the band. Our love and support goes out to him!

Paul made his smashing debut at Krak-punkrockfest 2000 and fits in like a haring in a tin.

Free, the guy who replaced Carl on bass when he was in Vietnam, now has his own band called GALATASARAY. Mich is now also a full time member of Galatasaray and joined them at CCR studios in January for the recording of their debut album, to be released on the Delboy label around april Œ03.

We recorded a second full length album in june 2002. For that we took off to beautiful Zagreb, Croatia to record with our good friends Bojan and Nixa from LUNAR at Studio Kozmo. The album features 8 songs and takes off where the last 7² ends. As always we tried some things in the studio. We asked some friends to join in on the album like Mio, who plays the guitar in postrockoutfit LUNAR and the emo/noiseband ANALENA, two awesome Croatian bands.

The album is called ŒMonolith¹ and was released in November 2001 on Delboy Records (db 010) on CD and LP (greencoloured limited wax!)

A one month European tour in promotion of the album followed, with Olympia¹s wildbunch THE TIGHT BROS FROM WAY BACK WHEN (Kill Rockstars Rec., USA) The tour was a success and took us to Slovenia and Croatia for the first time!

Another three week European tour followed after that with Chicago bands HAYMARKET RIOT (Thick Records, USA) and AMERICAN HERITAGE (Escape Artist, USA) A good relationship was established between the bands and soon a good friendshipÅ 

                                                                     

In November 2002 we toured the States for the first time in support of the American release of Monolith on Divot Records (see also Sweep the Leg Johnny, Braid, Lustre King, The Paper Chase,Š). American label WhatElse?Records also released a limited Hitch/Haymarket Riot split 7² while we were on the road.

A new three week European tour (Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Holland) was scheduled for the beginning of May 2003, when we supported HAYMARKET RIOT on tour in support of the European release of Bloodshot Eyes, their latest album, that Delboy licensed from Thick Records, USA.

In jauary 2004 we recorded our third full length album (LP/CD) "trails are ablaze!" on Kinky Star Records. We recorded it ourselves in our own studio. The reactions have been great so far...

The first single 'Opposites direct' is getting loads of airplay on national radio and in August Hitch is playing Pukkelpop, probably the biggest alternative festival in Europe.

Tourdates are scheduled for october and december.
