Bio / Background
H’Atina, the “H” is silent. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she is no foreigner to entertainment. H’Atina has been dancing, singing and performing since her tyke years. She began dancing and decided to take up singing, as she has always loved to sing and perform on stage. Being a great writer, she writes songs and poetry as well. H’Atina attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where she studied music and received training in the areas of music theory, performance, chorus, ear training, musical theatre, songwriting and vocal jazz. Her vocal background and abilities include rhythm & blues, pop, funk, neo-soul, jazz, adult contemporary and musical theatre. Her influences include Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Teena Marie, Anita Baker, Stephanie Mills, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, and Janet Jackson, to name a few.
