Groovin' modern folk/pop tunes that seamlessly connect simple themes, lyrics and melodies with smooth and seductive acoustic blues, rock and Brasilian guitar-based arrangements.
Bio / Background
Each song on Move On delivers ghostly familiar, but always new and engaging grooves and arrangements. In some ways, this recording is a welcomed return to the cross-over songwriting styles of decades past. In other ways, it is refreshingly original.
Ron works his steel and nylon string acoustic guitar like a piano arranger/composer, solidly laying down harmonically captivating samba, blues and jazz grooves against a bass/drum rhythm track. Supporting instruments are used like voices and backup vocals like instrumentation to sparsely adorn otherwise stand alone guitar songs.
There is no doubt that this is singer-songwriter material but this newcomer's knack for packaging music and lyrics contributes a new dimension to the genre. Ron seems to get his introspective jollies like a true songwriter but he spares the listener self-indulgent lyrics and instead fills the spaces between simply stated thoughts with engaging rhythms and instrumentation.

Ron Harrison currently performs in the Michigan area as a solo act and occasionally with his studio band.
