Halfway Broken is simply put, hard modern rock (with an interesting, in-your-face edge)
Bio / Background
Halfway Broken's sound combines the raw emotional elements of the bands they grew up listening to with a diverse range of influences; music ranging from the rock spectrum and beyond. The result is a sound that is familiar yet distinctively theirs, some say a crossbreed of Incubus and A Perfect Circle.
The Baltimore based band made large strides in the last year by consistently playing packed clubs, garnering radio airplay and support from four commercial stations, and releasing their brand new EP "The Artist," which is gaining rave reviews. Their self-produced debut release, "Life as it Seems," sold over 1,000 copies and Halfway Broken will easily eclipse that in the next few months with their new release.
They've played many of the premium local rock venues in the mid-Atlantic region, including the Recher Theatre, TT Reynolds, The Funkbox, and many others. They've also made a name for themselves in the college market, booking numerous shows through their involvement in NACA.
↓ more ↓National acts the band has opened for include Breaking Benjamin, The Used, Nonpoint, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, Thrice, and others.
2005 promises big things for the band, and with a lot of hard work and a little luck, Halfway Broken will do its part to help put the Baltimore music scene on the map.
