Country-tinged pop music with rootsy, smart lyrics; and all topped off with Haley's amazing voice. A truly unique, beautiful piece of work and follow up to her critically acclaimed "The Size of Planets".

Bio / Background
Born in Manitoba and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, this 23 year old singer/songwriter has more than just stories to tell. Her voice is powerful, poetic, haunting, and her music has often been described as "otherworldly".
But comparisons fall short when describing Haley's unique sound. She truly marches to the beat of her own rickety Guild guitar or Fender Rhodes keyboard.
Haley began her career as a solo artist, doing the usual coffee shop/bar scene until she moved to Duluth, MN in 2001, where she soon met her first bandmate/drummer, Dave Frankenfeld. After recording her second record (the first was a small pressing which sold out and has yet to be reprinted), "The Size of Planets", she was spotted by Low's Alan Sparhawk at an open mic in Duluth, and promptly asked to tour with his band upon the release of her new album. He then asked to put her album out on his indie label, Chairkicker's Union.
↓ more ↓Since then, Haley has also toured with bands like Mason Jennings, Andrew Bird, Mary Lou Lord, Richard Buckner, and Charlie Parr; and has shared the stage with Neko Case, Pedro the Lion, and Wanda Jackson.
Haley's new album, "Lure the Fox", was recorded in the late Summer of 2005 at the famed Pachyderm Studio (Nirvana, PJ Harvey) in Cannon Falls, MN.
On this record Haley's band includes Bad Plus/Happy Apple drummer Dave King, Chris Morrissey (Mason Jennings), and Alan Sparhawk (Low). It is currently self-released with the help of Mary Ellen Records, a Minneapolis-based not for profit organization which helps local artists get thier music out there with 100% artistic freedom.
