Bio / Background
I don't honestly know what attracted you to this page but welcome.
I would image you want to know something more about my music. It's hard to be objective being the writer since I wouldn't have written something if it wasn't something I considered meaningful for the moment. The lyrics, for me, come from the emotion of those moments. Now whether it reaches you and has the same effect is what ultimately matters. But I don't know if that is the case till you give a listen. I do know this; I put everything I have to give into everything I create. Does it always work? It does for me or I wouldn't go into the studio and pay those exorbitant fees to record the song.
But not everyone agrees with my decision. But I have learned as any song writer or performer discovers that not everyone "loves" what we do. In fact, reality is that if we were all baseball players, we would love to have a batting average of .250. (I would settle for .
↓ more ↓150) The truth is that we are working on much smaller percentages than that and that is why sometimes it takes pretty tough skin to be doing this for a living.
But listen, I can assure you of one thing, if you enjoy the softer moments of life and enjoy listening to music that says something and emotes sensitive emotion then you just may have found that needle in a haystack. You will find it all right here with heartfelt lyrics and music and vocals that capture the intended emotion through a voice that just may surprise you.
Oh, I could talk about my accomplishments and all from over the years. but it is the "life experiences" that really count in the end since that is what you are going to relate to. Let me give you an example: I wrote and recorded the song "Empty Words and Empty Kisses" which is about the relationship between my daughter and her mother. Kelli's mother left when Kelli was 10 years old and I raised the children alone for the next 10 years and her mother only maintained a long-distance relationship with the children for all of those remaining childhood and teenage years. A 10-year old (even a 25-year old or a 50 year old) never understands that. That song carries a lot of my daughter's broken heart. See what I mean:
"This is the story of a pretty little who lived in the country with her father, she was innocent with freckles on her face and a smile with dimples at each corner...did you know that she was only 10 when her mother went away to find herself with another...those empty words and empty kisses don't fill the voids and misses...time lost forever never to return..." My gosh, does that ever hurt.
That is what you are going to find in the music here. From the emotion of "Empty Words and Empty Kisses" to falling in love to paying tribute to someone that has left all of us to some holiday music that fits the season like a glove.
Give it a try...you won't regret it.
"Jeff is a great flashback to the golden era of the crooner. His smooth style blends the past with the present making for a very enjoyable listen." Mark Schoenfeld, Writer/Producer of "Brooklyn" currently on Broadway.
