Bio / Background
This is the fourth release from Icelandic pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs. It features 4 of her compositions, an arrangement of an Icelandic folk tune and a composition my Scott McLemore. This CD was recorded during a tour of Europe in March 2002. It features Ohad Talmor on saxophone, Gunnlaugs on piano, Matt Pavolka on bass and Scott McLemore on drums. It was mastered by A.T. Michael MacDonald at Algorhythms, NY.
Sunna Gunnlaugs, a native of Iceland, came to the USA in 1993 to attend the prestigious jazz program at William Paterson College. She has toured the US, Europe and appeared at the major Canadian festivals. She has been featured in the Washington Post, Virginian Pilot and more. Visit her website for more info
