Provocative lyrics, infectious tunes, with vocals like a cross between Natalie Merchant and Tori Amos.

Reviews:
"Her lovely, dense writing and powerful presence are really quite extraordinary - a killer singer/songwriter." (Nitelife Magazine, September, 1999)
"In a musical world of 'been there, heard that' tis rare indeed to find a new artist worthy of extended praise. . . . and praise is exactly what this girl deserves. Robin intrigues us with sexy, poetic lyrics and irresistible vocals. Her sound is both familiar and fresh, providing the kind of intelligence severely lacking in our overblown pop culture. A must must have." (She Magazine, December 1999)
"Robin Greenspan's new CD Gardener of Eden has a bright different sound, funny but thoughtful that we definitely recommend!" (OutSmart Magazine, December 1999)
"If the Indigo Girls decided to adopt a child and raise it with Natalie Merchant, what they would get is Robin Greenspan. Her debut CD is both melodic and tough . . . a great recording. Greenspan's lyrics are original, catchy and thought provoking.
↓ more ↓Her symbolism is subtle but right on. . . Greenspan has a powerful voice with definite sincerity. You'll enjoy the creative sound and innovative, witty lyrics of this debut offering." (Michelle Tomko, People's Chronicle, December 1999)
"With a very clean, refreshing sound, Robin seems to have gotten her heaven-sent sound out to her listeners. If your CD collection includes Alanis, Natalie, Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge, not only do you have superb taste, but you also might consider welcoming Robin out of the garden and into your house." (Charlie Vaughn, Orange County Blade)
"Gardener of Eden is comprised of eleven alternative rock tracks featuring the artist's stunning and highly accessible vocal style. This is an album certain to please many female vocal enthusiasts and one worth a journey--a great listen!" (Russ Elliot, Album Review Digest)
Bio:
Once the lead singer/songwriter of her own band, Greenspan has definitively distinguished herself, not only as a solo performer who can hold her own, but as an artistic force to be reckoned with.
Her music has been described by critics as poetic, provocative and infectious with vocals like a hybrid of a more classically trained Tori Amos and Natalie Merchant.
"What I wanted to do with this album was to tell the truth about real life the way I see it, through tangible images and experiences, rather than recycled cliches. I believe if you tell the truth in art and everything else, people will recognize themselves and be liberated by it."
Search through Robin Greenspan's, "Gardener of Eden" and you'll probably catch a glimpse of yourself.
Robin takes on every topic with intelligence, detail and wit, from original sin on the title track, "Gardener Of Eden" to an exploration of the mind of Janis Joplin on the haunting rock ballad, "Comfort".
The wit should come as no surprise. Robin has appeared on Comedy Central's "Out There In Hollywood", Showtime's "In Through the Out Door" and performed her one woman show "Kickin' Hard" to sold out houses at The HBO Workspace in Los Angeles.
This girl's like a one-woman yellow pages. If it's out there, it's in here - and it's never sounded like this before.
