Bio / Background
What can you expect on this, our second maxi-single? Well, for one, the album version of "Embrace", the Techno-Rock with an R&B/Funk twist starts things out.
Next up is one of our most popular songs, "Lies"....only this is the Radio Edit version of it. All the punch of the original version, and it's 36 seconds shorter. How did we do that? Check out The Haunting Begins for the original...
Did you like "Embrace"? Well, the next 3 songs are all remixes of "Embrace". The first remix, "Electric Pimpin' Shaft mix", emphasizes the funk in this Nu-Disco version. The second remix, "Robots in Love mix", has beats a breakin' everywhere. The third remix, "Love Boat mix" takes us solidly back to the '70s...watch out Issac !
We felt that Simon & Garfunkle's song "Cecilia" needed a little updating and modernizing. The first such attempt is "GITMs Hoe from Hell mix". No, this is not your father's Simon & Garfunkle. "Hoe from Hell" casts a very sinister light on this song...
↓ more ↓it's industrial and it's angry. The next "Cecilia" remix is "GITMs Rawhide mix". This mix is not quite as sinister and has some strong house qualities to it. Yeah, you can probably dance to this one. The last "Cecilia" remix "GITMs Dirty Hoe mix" is an ugly cousin to the "Hoe from Hell mix" and it's nearly as sinister and creepy.
After that trip we thought a dive into trip-hop would be appropriate. "The Haunting Begins (Enslaving the Master mix)" goes there and beyond with it's laid back rhythm and distorted leads. The next remix of "The Haunting Begins", the "De-evolution mix" ventures even further out...with it's subtle layers and otherworldliness.
Next up is "Garden of Stone"....a simple instrumental piece that would be not be out of place on a soundtrack for your local graveyard. And to finish off this disc, we have a remix of "Garden of Stone"....the "Orchestral mix"
