Bio / Background

Girl On Top is an all original Boston based band playing alternative, punk, pop, "Girl On Top Rock"! The band was founded in 1988 and has been headlining in major Boston, New England and New York venues; winning national contests and awards! It's kind of hard to peg down their sound, because of their diversity. Although, the dark heavy genre is their favorite, they have "pop" songs that will leave you feeling up-lifted and energized. You won't get bored listening to their music or being at one of their shows, because they like to mix it up. A typical set might start out with a heavy "punk- rocker" about love, followed by a "rocka-billy-thang" pertaining to little white girls in little black sundresses.
