The Black & white CD is the first time Geoffrey Leigh Tozer & His Swank Pharaohs have recorded other peopl'es music mixed in with their own. In this case it's jazz standards done in the inimitable "new swank jazz" style for which they have become famous.
It is characterized by an infectious groove and an undeniably joyous performance filled with light, humanity and fun, all the while not losing sight of the groove as the centerpiece.
Check out the first track "Puttin' on The Ritz/Istanbul Not Constantinople" as a prime example of their music guaranteed to get you in a good mood.
