Conceived in 2001, singer/songwriter Wade Linkert took an unconventional approach to starting the band Flavor, forming the group after recording its self-titled debut CD on his own. The music has been added to the play lists of radio stations throughout the Midwest and one of the tracks, "Revolution," won a NARAS/ Grammy's Song Writing Contest in 2002.
Flavor, armed with a large catalog of songs, was taken to the stage shortly after, becoming a group effort with the addition of three other seasoned musicians; Ben Shaffer, Scott Deming, & Austin Dingus.
