Bio / Background
The band, Garbage Hearts was formed in Southern California during the early 90s with members: Rik L Rik-vocals/ harmonica, Brad Logan-guitar, Beth Carmellini-bass/ vocals and Adam Zuckert-drums.
At the time Rik was fairly well known for his solo contributions to the album “Beach Blvd” and past bands including F Word. The rest of the band members would go on after Garbage Hearts to various bands including F-minus, Red Five, US Bombs and Leftover Crack. Garbage Hearts played shows regularly in Los Angeles and Orange County for nearly two years and recorded in different home and professional studios many times. Most of the recordings are now non-existent.
Rik passed away in 2000 when he lost his battle against cancer. Garbage Hearts were nearly forgotten until 2006 when Adam, Beth and Brad were interviewed for a soon to be released book called “Rock n Roll Monster” documenting Rik L Rik’s life and music.
