Bluegrass, folk, and Telecaster-driven country arrangements drive these stories about big cars, bad drivers, a final appearance from Johnny and June, unrequited love at a music festival, and (of course) mules.
Bio / Background
Michael Gaither, an enigma - a Rubik's cube unsolved. Twist it and a bunch of new colors appear. Your first impressions of Michael might be "quiet and shy."
Twist and whoa--who's this but a soft-spoken and "easy-to-listen-to" singer/storyteller, singing and entertaining with good friends at a local winery.
Go back a few turns and you find that he has an incredible sense of humor, having written gags for Jay Leno and spoof ads for KPIG radio, one of which was so frisky that it got pulled!
Another twist and you'll find that he's penned the occasional entertainment column for the Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper.
Now sit back and listen to his stories. They can drip with sarcasm ("Good God Man How Big a Car Do You Need?") or be infused with a hint of gospel ("Entertaining An Angel")--all to get his viewpoints across and still wind down a story within three and a half self-imposed minutes.
↓ more ↓More of his personality shines through with songs he's written such as "Highway 17," "Jack of All Trades," and "Takin' Baby Steps," to name but a few, which are now available on "Spotted Mule and Other Tales". Very smart and highly entertaining. - written by Tomi Edmiston
