The embodiment of Funk Thunder is soul. Two men with an ability to tap into the very resource we need to form life’s experience. To prosper in the wake of circumstances we plod through, to elevate the essence of life to a crescendo of climax by acceptance and adjustment through the means of words & music. A purge we all need. We all seek it and know you’re not alone. We make it because we need to. The essence of Funk Thunder is as necessary as the breath you take when you read this.
With an astounding knowledge of all forms of music, art, and literature- no finer balance can be achieved. From the mysterious and “dream like” words and voice of “Enlightenment” to the incredible guitar mastery of “I’ve Got an Axe” the CD is something which should be essential to any music collection. Compassion… understanding… tightly wound into several songs such as Compassionate man, Jazz Cat and one strictly for the artists: Distraction.
