"Noted composer, pianist and arranger Benjamin Lardiere shows another side of his talents in his great new album, Life & Song in Progress. Ben now offers heartfelt serenity in an album that is all at once captivating and inspirational.
Like a tiger escaping from a cage, Ben's need to offer some of the best ambient music bursts forth like a gentle summer rain. Finally, we can assume, his need to display his emotions became the focus of this 70 minute tribute to peace.
There are no fewer than 15 songs on Life & Song in Progress, and each is a delight. Just you, the listener, and Ben and his piano, sharing provocative and powerful music that obviously emanates from Ben's heart. Thus, this album is no less than a love fest inspired by the people and experiences that have shaped his life.
