It was the summer of 1998 and my heavy progressive rock band [Breaking Doubt] got burned out. I had been getting into more acoustic stuff at the time and already had some newer, less heavy tunes recorded, so I decided to write a few more songs and throw together a solo CD. Many of the tracks on the CD are one night writing/recording sessions originally meant to be scratch tracks that I ended up using as they were to preserve their original vibe. Others are more polished and produced. Some are somewhere in between.
