With this disc Free Joseph of Dominica, West Indies has created one of the most delightful musical experiences you're liable to encounter with a freewheeling, mind expanding meditative melange of styles. Categorization is the boon and bane of the music business. Musicians of the Caribbean have the unique ability to meld and reshape the traditional; when Jamaicans played jazz it became ska, r&b became 'blue beat' and everything from rock and roll on became reggae when filtered through the latest tropical riddim. This disc draws elements from the traditional style and more, manifesting everything from country to classical and back in a dubby instrumental mix that could be called classical jazz, new age, lifestyle, relation or roots, but will never not be reggae.
