All original compositions: sounds of jazz from the cool and contemporary periods, with a little latin, afro cuban, R&B and reggae flavor added in to make a smooth mix.
Bio / Background
Born March 10, 1949....California native.
Interest in playing the piano began at three years of age.
Music was my major in high school....1967.
Received 2nd place honors and trophy in the Jazz Combo Competition in the 1968 Battle of The Bands, at the world famous Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA....Jazz Quartet: For Movements.
Played the local jazz/R&B scene in and around the Los Angeles and San Diego (CA) county areas from 1971 to 1989. Too, was employed by several churches in the same geographical areas as pianist and or organist down through the years.
Received an Associate of Arts Degree in Music from Mesa College, San Diego, CA. in the year 2001.
YESTERDAY, TODAY is the title of my just released: June 12, 2007 debut solo jazz CD on Cherrywood Records (indie label).
