Bio / Background
Monique Ford is a natural talent. She began singing in church at the age of five and has been singing ever since. She is a pure vocalist, vocal arranger, and songwriter having written songs on all of her CD’s. Growing up in Selma, AL her musical influences were gospel legend Shirley Caesar, Betty Wright and Whitney Houston. She sang in talent shows and gospel choirs until being discovered in 2004 by a local record company.
She began her professional music career with the release of her first CD “Get A Maid” on Mardi Gras Records. This was a successful introduction into the Southern Soul industry. With the hit lady’s anthem “Get a Maid” and swing song “All Of My Love” everyone knew there was a new diva in town. Her sophomore CD “The Real Deal” was released in 2005 on Hep Me Records. She took her talents to a higher level by writing and arranging nine songs on the album.

i love this cd... it has blues, gospel... a little something for every part of the soul! ladies.. its a must!! monique is just talented!
