Bio / Background
For the second time, fans of Five A.M. have helped the band to record their music. Their first album, "Degrees of Falling," was financed with over $21,000 of fan investment. Similarly, their latest CD, "This Morphine Life," was produced and recorded entirely on spec by Gary Platt, President of Ex'Pression College in Emeryville. Platt, a gold record winning producer and engineer (Bon Jovi, The Cult, King Crimson, Bootsy Collins, Prince) saw the band perform live at a student produced webcast, and offered to record them. Captured live in just three days, "This Morphine Life" deals with life both beginning and ending around lead singer Trent Yaconelli. The band officially released the CD with a headlining show at Petaluma's Mystic Theater on June 11th.
