Three Feet from the Moon is another confusing and compelling adventure in Tim Story's early discography. He recorded these compositions in 83 and 84. The album's first release was on LP and cassette on Uniton, a Norwegian label. In 87, Teichiku Records, a Japanese label, released it on CD. Ten Years later, Archie Patterson, of Eurock, rescued it from oblivion. Story added two solo piano pieces for the re-issue. This is, quite simply, a great CD. The melancholy atmospheres have very little angst in them. Instead, Story's mix of acoustic and electronic sounds gives them hope and glimpses of light. He uses a melody instead of a drone to hold the soundscapes together. This pleasant ambient adventure will appeal to fans of Kevin Keller, Darshan Ambient, Ashera and Thomas Ronkin. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide

Following the release of THREADS and IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, the Eurock series of reissues by Tim Story continues with THREE FEET FROM THE MOON.
Tim's fourth album, it was previously released only on LP in Norway by the Uniton label in 1985 & Ltd. Edition CD in Japan by Teichku Records in 1987.
This special Eurock reissue has been totally re-mastered and two bonus tracks from the same time period have been added to enhance this already beautiful, exotic album.
Its musical impact is best summed up in this review from Lotus in the UK, "it's simply brilliant... his most accomplished, cohesive, and musically endearing work to date... Not a second on the album is less than immaculate."
