The self titled debut album “Epic – The Iron Philharmonic” (AKA “Epic TIP”) has received a lot of attention.
↓ more ↓Since it's release, the band’s critically acclaimed, dramatic, instrumental music has received placement as the theme music of a current national TV series on Dish Network (with hundreds of plays on prime-time TV) and an award winning, full length motion picture which aired on national TV. Recognitions (including official entries in two categories for the 2007 Grammy Awards), acclamations, interviews, and national press followed.
Epic TIP’s 2007 sophomore release “Aurora Australis” stays true to the band’s focus of blending classical, timeless, piano oriented melody with powerful, virtuosic guitar fueled energy. And the result is once again decidedly dramatic! As was true with the debut CD, “Aurora Australis” is 100% real music. No computer generated music or drum machines are ever involved. The cast remains the same as well. All music was written, performed, and co-produced by Edward Pszeniczka (piano, guitars) and Jay Jurcenko (drums and percussion). Also, Charles Mulvey, who appeared on the debut CD as a guest lead guitarist, returns for “Aurora Australis”. His soaring lead guitar solos are featured on six of the eight tracks. New to the team for this CD is ace producer Steve Plump. Steve’s dedication to the band’s sound is evident from the first note to the last.
Please take a moment to experience “Aurora Australis” via the sound clips on this webpage. And for additional information (history, news, reviews, press, etc.) about the band, sound clips from the original debut CD, and a TV series video clip (featuring the music of Epic TIP), please visit the “Epic TIP homepage” (www.cdbaby.com/epicrock) via the link on this webpage.
