Bio / Background
Emerald Rose is known as an energetic, exciting four-man ensemble from Georgia performing both traditional and original Celtic-inspired folk rock. Since 1997, the band has been developing a unique sound blending guitar, pennywhistle, pipes, world percussion and harmony vocals that dances through many styles, from traditional Celtic dance to modern folk/rock, mythic ballads, pop, and humor. The band has just released their sixth full-length CD, "Con Suite"
Emerald Rose is well-known on the sci-fi/fantasy 'con circuit, from regular performances at Dragon*con in Atlanta, I*Con in NY, and Oscars party performances in Hollywood for Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" epic movies. Their music is featured in two genre documentaries, "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" by TheOneRing.net, and Brian Wiser's "Done the Impossible" about Joss Whedon's Firefly/Serenity phenomenon.

great fun, in perfect harmony, even. meets the needs of all musical tastes: folk, filk, con-verts, sea-chantey lovers, and those whose tastes stray to what's called world music (notice how they never mention WHICH world?) blessed be, and enjoy!
