I Can't Wait by Eddie Cunningham

In 1996, and 1997, Eddie was named Songwriter of the Year & Male Vocalist of the Year by the California Country Music Association. Eddie won First Place at the Country Star "Country Music Showdown" sponsored by the Country Star Restaurant in Hollywood. Eddie sang The National Anthem before a packed house at a Los Angeles Lakers Basketball game. He won the 2000 Jim Beam Country Band Search national talent contest and earned the title as The Best Unsigned Artist in America. Eddie has topped the Americana charts with “The Gram Parsons Notebook.” His song “Jesus Is More Than A Name” was co-written with Gram Parsons (through his notebook) and co-produced with Grammy winner Carl Jackson (the album was up for 3 Grammy nominations) and features Marty Stuart, Ricky Skaggs & The Elvis Band just to name a few. Other songs to note: “If You Need a Miracle” (Ben E. King) / “I Was Taken” (Moe Bandy) / “Bad Cowboy” (Jenny Slate) / “Lay Your Burden Down To Die” (Mark Insley). Eddie has co-written with some of the best songwriters in the business including: BMI “2003 Songwriter of the year” Jeffrey Steele, Grammy winners Wendy Waldman & Desmond Child, Country music hall of fame legend, A. L. ”Doodle” Owens, Mentor Williams, Kostas, and many others.

Eddie appears in two new independent films produced by legendary record producer and songwriter Kim Fowley and has several songs in both movies. The first one is ”JUKEBOX CALIFORNIA”, an arts & crafts musical collage starring Don Calfa, Patrick Brayer & John York, filmed by Roy Swedeen in the beautiful landscapes of Southern California’s Inland Empire. Eddie appears in the film showcasing his singing, songwriting, abstract art, cooking skills and comedic personality. The other one is “OUTLAWS IN AMERICA.” Eddie plays a crazy hillbilly hit man. Eddie likes being a funny guy; in fact you may have caught him getting his chest waxed on an episode of “Jay walking” with Jay Leno on NBC one night. They played it four times, once in slow motion. Jay couldn't believe it didn’t seem to bother Eddie, as Eddie replied after the rip, “Will this get me on Survivor?” Eddie has a very serious side to him too; you may have seen him on the NBC morning show, promoting a peace concert dedicated to the 9/11 victims, singing a song called "WHY", which he co-wrote with Grammy winner, Wendy Waldman after the Columbine incident.

Currently, Eddie’s songs appears on The NBC reality TV show "Starting Over", The E! True Hollywood Story “The Judd’s”, CMT’s "Greatest Tour Buses", Style Network, Black Starz, Encore, TBS, TNN, CBS’s "Touched By An Angel", Gundam Cartoon and more... Eddie is also an in demand session/jingle singer in Los Angeles and Nashville and has worked with the likes of Bob Doyle (Garth Brooks), Berry Gordy, Desmond Child, Diane Warren, Mountain Dew, Florida Marlins, Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Dodge, Los Angeles Boat Show, Radio Gets Results, and many others.
