Bio / Background
dp3 is an Atlanta-based quartet integrating the genres of jazz, art rock, and world music. Defined by its extensive use of electronic effects and heady improvisations, the band produces a seamless movement of moods, textures, and styles anchored in equal parts by the band's melodic and experimental sensibilities.
Live at the 5 Spot, the band's sophomore album, marks a new maturity in the band's sound. The album also features guest musicians Bruce Bennett (keyboard) and Zano (words) on four tracks, including "Downtown," an epic journey through jazz, hip-hop, art rock, and funk.
