The First Class Albums
I spent several years playing for ballet classes at Spokane Ballet, and later Theatre Ballet of Spokane. My approach was always and without exception improvisational, only because I had no desire to lug around a stack of classical music. There are beneficial aspects to either approach. However, I think one very compelling aspect of improvisation for dance class is that it allows the player more flexibility to match the flavor and style teacher's demonstration.. These four albums are a compilation of some of the better ideas I came up with during those years of playing for class.

It's always nice to have music that is original to dance to in class. This album has some really good tracks and an added bonus is the different tempos for the same piece. It's a good compromise, when you aren't in a position to have a live pianist in class.
