Bio / Background
Dmitry Panich is a San Francisco/Bay Area pianist. He was born in Lvov, Russia, and there received his formal music education in classical and jazz.
He immigrated to America in 1979 with his family. From that point on he embraced electronic keyboards and continued his musical development informally by playing with various rock, soul, jazz, reggae, and ethnic bands.
During the late 80s he played keyboards for a Bay Area rock band, The Visitors. Performing throughout California in venues such as Shoreline Amphitheater, The Fillmore, Uncle Charlie's, Bimbo's, The Warfield, and sharing the stage with known performers such as Huey Lewis, Neal Schon, and Eddie Van Halen.
In the early 90's Dmitry was the keyboardist and song writer in a professional R&B/Funk band Bedrock. This musical act performed throughout the Bay Area, in various night clubs, local street fairs and festivals.
His influences include Chick Corea, Thomas Dolby, Yello, Art of Noise, and Vangelis.
