Bio / Background
In 2001 a transatlantic musical collaboration began between American saxophonist Douglas Little and Italian pianist Giacomo Aula. Since that time, both have traveled to each other's continent on several occasions to perform, teach, and tour. Kevin Washington and Jeff Bailey have solidified the group since its inception and have played shows with Little and Aula in both the United States and Europe. The album "The Phoenix" introduces to the public the varied repertoire of this quartet. The recording reminds us that music is truly the international language, spoken by many, understood by all.
"The Phoenix" is the second recording from the Douglas Little Quartet. His first CD, "Subtle Differences," is also available from CD baby.
