Bio / Background
We are a cutting-edge improvisational duo, consisting of Aaron Krister Johnson on synthesizer, and Andy Hasenpflug on percussion. We live and work in Chicago.
In June 2004, Keyboard magazine hailed our work as "challenging and creative", and voted us to be the Unsigned Artist of the Month.
We often like using tuning systems like Just Intonation and other microtonal systems.
Influences: Morton Subotnick, Wendy Carlos, Javanese Gamelan Music, Primitive music, Medieval music, 1960's science fiction film scores such as "Forbidden Planet".

Solid Aviary is aptly titled. It was so soft I barely heard it. It's a definite Eno-in-a-Orbital-suit, and that's a very good thing. Try It.
