Breaking necks with an MPC2000, Dirty Drummer is that gritty ear drum funk created by North Carolina based producer / musician / dj David Haire.
Dj-ing, Producing beats for, and playing in various styles of groups since the early 90's, Dirty Drummer has had a taste of many styles of music. Former DJ of Supastition and Drummer/percussionist for artists such as X-periment, Ursula Rucker, Rich Medina and Earman Ali to name a few. Dirty has crafted a versatile sound with emphasis on well-placed samples over rugged beats as well as sample free compositions.
Over the past 10 years Dirty has put together countless albums and beat tapes that have made their way around the world and on the airwaves including CD-R classics like "Beatmusic" in 2003 and "The Blakey Album" in 2004 which was DD's answer to the "Jay-z Black Album re-mix thing" putting Jay-z's lyrics over beats comprised and inspired by Art Blakey & Jazz messengers.
