The Covert Operations compilation includes three rarely collected tracks by Thievery Corporation plus other acts on the duo's ESL Music (18th Street Lounge) label: the Avatars of Dub, Ursula 1000, and Thunderball. Thievery tracks like "Sun, Moon and Stars" and a remix of "Sex Elevator Music" (by the Avatars of Dub) are much better produced than the others, though there's a lot to enjoy on this downtempo collection. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
