“Radiohead, A-Ha, Nirvana, Green Day, Coldplay, Keane, Adam Green, Beck…these are the people I look to,” says Joshua Denning, the creative force behind Living Room. They do what they want and follow their muse, going wherever their heart is taking them. I look to those guys, and I begin to think: how do they work? What is important to them, and is that important to me as well?”
With the release of his first full-length album, Living Room, the New York, New York resident is no longer simply an up-and-coming musician; he's a career artist. L R is a return to the full band sound of Josh's earliest work, and yet also the most forward-thinking and innovative record he's ever recorded. "I think of Living Room as pop art, a picture of a certain era in my life. I can never go back to that place again and I am sure my next record will be totally different- because I will be totally different."
