NYC choreographer David Dorfman commissioned Seattle composer Amy Denio to write the music for "To Lie Tenderly," a modern dance piece about truth, celebrity, and individuality. Amy formed Petunia (named after her car) for this original rock soundtrack, featuring Hahn Rowe (Hugo Largo), Tobias Ralph (Defunkt), Turkish musician Jesse Manno, and multi-instrumentalist David Dorfman.
Denio's expressive voice and darkly stirring melodies blend beautifully with the sounds of violin and Turkish saz.
