Bio / Background
Let's see...I was born in Akron, Ohio. Home of the Zips and the former rubber capital of the world (as in tire manufacturers). High school was good, college was good, life was just fine. After waiting tables for about a year in Columbus I packed up a '91 Toyota station wagon with some clothes, books, a bike, a guitar, some harmonicas, and some other things and headed toward Claremont, California (just outside LA) to live with a friend of mine. SoCal was good. Didn't quite have the living situation I wanted, but have some memories that will last a lifetime. California was a different way of life from the midwest...which is probably what I liked most about it. I ended up moving to San Francisco where I lived for just over two years. Beautiful place to be. In January of this year, I moved to Minneapolis where I am now. It's a bit of a culture shock and seems fresh to me...which is what I like most about it.
↓ more ↓Along the way, I've learned some magic tricks, sold cotton candy, cleaned dishes, given service with a smile, made some spreadsheets, fallen in and out of love, watched sunrises, had a few car accidents/driving violations, lost loved ones, held a baby, gotten lost, written letters and found new places to call home. I also wrote and recorded this album during my time in California.
