A veteran of the New York City hard rock scene, Shaw blends smooth vocals and power pop sensibilities with crackling riffs and energetic choruses proving that good music is not that hard to find in the current confusing rock and roll landscape.
Shaw cut his teeth in the late 80s with Shotgun Annie, a staple of the New York music scene, consistently packing venues and opening for some of the era’s biggest bands. Soul Crunch followed and developed quite a reputation of its own with its manic live shows and dependable blues rock melodies. Shaw later fronted Down With The Blonde. The band, a two-time finalist in the popular Long Island Music Festival, featured Shaw breaking out with intricate rhythms and complex yet accessible hooks.
