Bio / Background
David M. Schantz, a.k.a. "Slim Chance" from San Leandro California now lives in the Klamath basin in a place known as the State of Jefferson. It would have been the 50th state before Hawaii but as it was formed on December 1, 1941, a week later Pearl Harbor was attacked and 20,000 Japanese Americans were put in a concentration camp here thus ending the bid for statehood. As a result, the people here have a healthy disrespect for all things federal and Dave found himself fitting right in. This cd was recorded in Folsom with the now deceased Joe Murazzo on drums, Frank Gaunt on keyboards and vocal on "Ready to Ride", and Dave Johnson and Fred Poiesz on backing vocals on "Doin' the best I can". "Slim" does all the guitars, bass, and cello and lead vocal on the cd. "Slim" is currently recording a new cd, is still promoting the "Cyclectric", and is also involved with the Hydrogen Highway and bringing E85 to California, GOODBYE to GASOLINE!
