If Frank Sinatra had a baby with Shakira, and Garth Brooks was the baby sitter, the musical offspring would sound like Daveed. With his exceptional warm timbered voice, this singer songwriter enters the POP scene with a fresh jazzy, world groove.
Bio / Background
My Music is part of my emotional diary. Feelings and thoughts that I need to express about life, experiences from different parts of the world are exposed through my writing.
The diversity in my music is largely due to having multicultural, musical parents, and a dad that taught international folk dancing as a hobby. From traditional western jazz, rock, pop, and country music to opera, and the Mediterranean sounds of Greece, Italy, Turkey, Israel including the Middle Eastern rhythms of Egypt, and surrounding countries.
These were all part of our musical palette. My father and I would often have duets of American Classics, he would play the harmonica and I was on guitar. In 2003 I was part of an International delegation sent to Iraq. There I was exposed to a unique style of music that fused together with my past experiences, and inspired the distinctive sounds that are part of my debut album “Seven Shades.”
