Daphna Rahmil captures the hearts of her listeners with her pure voice and her imaginative, poignant songs. Her lyrics are soulful, picturesque and intelligent. Her lilting melodies contain a delightful and blend of folk, pop, country, European and Middle Eastern music, always catchy, yet constantly taking surprising twists and turns. Daphna brings herself close to her listeners with her openness, exploring topics common to all. She has a special way of sharing her whole self with you in her gentle music and her powerful performance.
Daphna has won several awards from the Northern California Songwriter's Association, including Song of the Year 2000. She was also a finalist in the Texas Wildflower Art and Music Festival's performing songwriter's contest, and in Vermont's Solarfest.
