Bio / Background
Like Marc Cohn, Lyle Lovett and Bonnie Raitt, Big Hands Colvin's musical style is difficult to define-a little bit blues, a little bit country, a little bit soul. Whether he's songwriting, singing, playing sax or guitar-Big Hands is a big talent.
Currently a frontman for the Central-Coast-of-California-based, Big Daddy's Blues Band, Colvin has played with or opened for a number of well-known artists including: Tom Scott, Jesse Colin Young, and Nelson Braxton.
Big Hands Colvin has also toured extensively as a member of the Cardiff Reefers, Rock Steady Posse and Eric Ellsworth Band. He is a professional songwriter with an impressive collection of solid originals-and the voice to compete with anyone in the genre.
He and his wife live in Northern Washington State. Colvin is presently in the studio working on a solo project.
