SINGER/GUITARIST DADDY I,BORN IVAN WALLACE HAILS FROM CHICAGO ILL.,HAS SPENT SEVERAL YEARS PERFORMING AND RECORDING IN THE MINNEAPOLIS MINNESOTA MUSIC SCENE WITH ARTIST SUCH AS;Exile One(calypso),Kirk Johnson(PRINCE"S NEW POWER GENERATION),Les Exodus(reggae).DADDY I was a founding member of BLACKLIGHT,one of the best funk bands in the MINNEAPOLIS MUSIC SCENE.HE was the recipient of the best new artist award at the MINNESOTA BLACK MUSIC AWARDS SHOW in 2000.DADDY I has also toured with famed r&b singer ALEXANDER O`NEIL in JAPAN and the U.S.A. In 2001 Daddy I returned to CHICAGO and reconnected with his r&b root"s,performing with legendary artist like TYRONE DAVIS,SYL JOHNSON,THE STAPLE SINGERS and blues dynamo,BARBARA LaSHOURE."THIS IS WHAT I AM" is DADDY I" first cd in which he paints a beautiful picture of his life,his passion and his love,and sets them to music.
