Christian Music, A Cappella Style. A strong blend of inspiring worship songs and contemporary covers, with some fun, kickin' Southern Gospel numbers to round out the mix.
Bio / Background
Cross Examined (or CrossX, if you prefer) is a 9-person a cappella group from Longmont, Colorado. God demonstrated his mysterious ways (not to mention his sense of humor) when he brought us all together in the fall of 2000. All these years later, we're still going strong, and still having fun!
On occasion someone asks us what our mission is. That's a tough one - the reality is that we just love singing, we love each other, and we love our Savior. It's really that simple. It's not like we went into this with some grand scheme, we just went where we were led, and so far, it's been a blast! I guess if you nailed us down, we'd say that our mission is "to praise God in song, while lifting up others." We hope we lift you up, give you a song in your heart and an extra bounce to your step.
So what's our music like? Check out the sound clips and you should get a taste of what we're all about.
↓ more ↓If you like a cappella music (the only instruments we use are our voices) and you like variety, chances are you'll like Cross Examined! When listening, just remember - it's like the weather in Colorado - if it's not your favorite, stick around a few minutes and it'll change. And whatever we're doing, we will always try to keep you smiling, because we're pretty sure that God wants his family to be a happy bunch.
Please let us know what you think - we'd love your feedback, because it will help us do a better job next time with that whole "lifting up others" thing. If you really like a particular song, let us know. If you really hate a particular song, let us know. We can take it!
Thank you for taking the time to find our more about who we are - we are honored. Keep smiling!

Not as good as their "Ordinary Faces" album, but you'll love the blend of voices. Their message comes across--"We just love singing, we love each other, and we love our Savior." You'll like it, too.
