Acoustic Soul with thought provoking lyrics. An ultra-simple album with just the guitar, a rich sultry voice, and some occasional harmonies. Something to listen to while sitting on a porch swing.
Bio / Background
Cristina Orbé's voice is warm, smokey and honest. Her album "Sway" is a self-produced, self written, independent project that consists of her most personal and heart felt songs.
Cristina has been singing and playing guitar since 2000. She's a self taught musician with her own simple rhythmic style. She has played Vancouver International Hip-Hop Film Festival, Under the Volcano, Lo-Fi Performance Gallery, The Tractor Tavern, Town Hall and the NW Folklife Festival. She has shared the stage with Saul Williams, Bill Frissel and Micheal Franti.
She also plays in a political acoustic group called Forgotten Sol. She's recorded projects with the Sharpshooters and Moka Only.
Cristina Orbé is a rare find. Her music is political, conscious, sensual, poetic, intelligent, and human.
