Bio / Background
Crazy Mary's Second Release, "She Comes In Waves" includes the addition of vocalist Sophia Jackson to the previous foursome. Her voice rounds out a sound described by Ralph White in the New York Press as "Hip and crazy get down on your Knees voodoo dancing. Here comes the band that puts the twang back in your steps."
This psychedelically tinted album takes you on a metaphorical trip. From the opening track "Burned", one begins the trip by hurling through space, landing in the beautiful world of "Cancer on the Photograph" a ballad tinted with "carnivals of mescaline". From there the album goes through some rockers, the Keith Richards inspired "Shot by Bullets" and title track "She Comes in Waves" with unbelievable Beach Boys like harmony and driving bassline.
As you are settling into the trip, two ballads follow including the Velvet Underground-like "Consider" featuring Sophia's beautiful voice. From there, the trip picks up speed again with psychedelic rocker "No Resistance".
