Crazy Joe and the boys are BACK with their second ATOM release, the CD EP Sweatin' Bullets Over You, with the guitar prowess of Link Wray or Carl Perkins, the energy of Little Richard and a gentle nod to Buck Owens & Gene Vincent.
Bio / Background
The first Crazy Joe and the Mad River Outlaws CD, Chopped, Slammed & Twangin' (2004), had a definate Rev. Horton Heat vibe. On Sweatin' Bulltes Over You, you'll hear more of a nod to the music of the late 1950's.
There's more instrumentation on Sweatin' and a fuller guitar sound. Joe's song writing has matured and expanded. And last but not least, you can tell Joe has been listening to lots of Little Richard and James Brown records (and watching too many Gilligan's Island reruns).
So you still have great playin' and singin' on Sweatin' Bullets Over You, but there's more diversity on the new CD. There is also some Buck Owens influence happening in the song Baby's Behind. Which we know what you are thinking, how do you cross Little Richard with Buck Owens? Purchase Sweatin' Bullets and you'll find that Joe pulls things off in top class form.
