This debut is full of heart-on-sleeve romanticism. More feeling than perfection the music is very "human". A big voice kept firmly under reign, let loose only occasionally to prove the point.

He's given a lot of thought to the arrangements, and the instrumental accompaniment is both intelligent and appealing, challenging yet lushly romantic at the same time. Colin Darling started as a classical singer. Voice teachers sometimes thought he was lazy, but, really , he just couldn't relate to the structure of the classics. He was most happy with a beer in hand on stage singing, jamming with jazz, blues, and R&B bands.
